RFP has an exciting new specialty show starting this Wednesday evening at 8pm (Arizona time) called Dan’s Garage. The show is hosted by long-time New York musician, Dan Frank. It’s a 1 hour journey through Dan Frank’s massive collection of hard to find Garage and Psychedelic rock 45’s from the 60’s & 70’s. All songs played from the original vinyl 45’s!

dan frank1

Dan is a musician and record collector from Rochester, NY where he has lived and worked his entire life. He was heavily influenced by his two older brothers who were both musicians, but especially his oldest brother, Vinny who was a record collector in his own right. Dan started collecting records when he was in his teens, but started collecting garage and psychedelic 45’s in earnest around 1984 when he was 24 years old. He formed the local garage rock act “The Projectiles” around the same time and currently plays in “Dan Frank & the True Believers”. Dan still collects 45’s to this day and his voracious appetite for cool and hip sounds from the 60’s and 70’s are represented on his blog “Dan’s Garage”.
