John is best know as the leader of the band Orleans (Dance with Me & Still The One) and also as a solo artist for the songs “Power” & “I Told You So”. He also served as a U.S. Congressman from New York for two terms (2007-2011). John wrote with Johanna Hall, “Half Moon” for Janis Joplin. In addition to reuniting with Orleans for a June tour, he has a new solo album coming out this Friday called “Reclaiming My Time.” Andy will be talking with John about his start in music with his first band, Kangaroo, his early solo carrier & the formation of Orleans.
